The Horta Museum presents the fifth edition of the 2026 Explore! initiative on 19 September at 11:00. Held every two months, this project aims to promote the history and heritage of Faial Island, highlighting local arts, crafts and traditional know-how. This edition will consist of a guided visit to São Francisco Church, with the collaboration of Monsignor António Saldanha. The event is part of the European Heritage Days — a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission — which this year take place under the theme “Revive, Resist, Reinvent.” The initiative is made possible with the essential support of Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Horta. The meeting point is at 11:00 in the churchyard.
